TRAMA
Thomas Hart (Colin Farrell), studente di legge, si arruola nell’esercito durante la seconda guerra mondiale. Durante un’imboscata viene fatto prigioniero mandato campo di prigionia tedesco. Quando prigioniero di colore, il tenente Lincoln Scott (Terrence Howard), viene accusato di vouch for ucciso compagno sottoposto quindi al giudizio della corte marziale, il colonnello McNamara (Bruce Willis), ufficiale americano più alto grado dei prigionieri, incarica il giovane avvocato di occuparsi della difesa. Ben presto Hart si renderà conto che il processo è realtà diversivo distrarre tedeschi consentire la fuga di alcuni prigionieri americani dal campo.
RECENSIONE
Collocare "Sotto Corte Marziale" all’interno di genere specifico è facile, di certo c’è la rispondenza ad alcuni dettami suggeriti dall’amministrazione americana dopo la strage dell’undici settembre: inneggiare al valore degli uomini stigmatizzare la crudeltà della guerra.
Il movie è tratto da romanzo di John Katzenbache una sua particolarità è che ci sono “buoni”: o meglio, gli unici buoni sono principi dell’eroismo americano che escono illesi corroborati dalla sporca vicenda della guerra. La storia è appassionante quanto piena di drammaticità, dopo una prima parte da war-movie molto ben fatto, che certo annoierà il pubblico, il movie prende uno stampo processuale, criminal dialoghi situazioni retoriche colpi di scena, molto simili alle più recenti serie tv, quali JAG, E-Ring NCIS.
La pecca maggiore della pellicola risiede però nella sua mancanza di identità, sebbene la regia di Gregory Hoblit sia solida ed avvincente, rimaniamo costantemente bilico tra movie di guerra, processuale o, addirittura, thriller. La corte marziale, risulta pò lunga, tanto da appesantire po’ il filmato.
